"Xelva" comes from the word Selva, meaning dense equatorial rainforest, and "Gen" is short for genesis or birth. Together, these words help define our philosophy:

In 2004, our master chemist experienced the most painful episode a parent can endure. After sustaining a serious injury, our chemist’s son underwent surgery and was prescribed pain medication. Tragically, his son had a negative reaction to the medication and died. Devastated by the loss, our chemist reflected on his 30 plus years creating vanity products that made people beautiful on the outside. He had reached the pinnacle of his profession, but the feeling of loss sunk in, and his career as a cosmetic chemist seemed hollow.

This sparked an investigation of traditional drugs, and the results were disappointing; many appeared addictive or just plain toxic. When he turned his attention to alternative methods, he found nothing that satisfied him. Then something clicked inside - he would create the solution. He decided to leave behind his life as cosmetic chemist and devote his life to creating safe and natural products that would support life – and so no other parent should experience his pain.

Building on his knowledge of natural botanicals, he embarked on a journey of discovery into other botanical and natural pain remedies. After five years and over 10,000 hours of research and development, we proudly introduce PainDrops under the family of XelvaGEN products.
